21 Ways to Nourish Your Body and Elevate Your Mind (Infographic)

The foods we eat, the thoughts we think and activities we engage in, compose our energetic vibration. When we nourish the body, we nourish the mind and the soul. Certain foods and activities can help to elevate the mind and align the chakras allowing for positive energy flow.

It’s all about what we feed our souls, here are 21 Ways to Nourish Your Body and Elevate Your Mind.

How to Align Your Energy and Physically Heal Yourself

How to Align Your Energy and Physically Heal Yourself

Carolanne Wright, Shift Frequency

Your body is an amazing healing machine that has automatic processes built into it to ensure that it maintains a state of perfect health. Science has found that your body’s cells naturally regenerate themselves at different speeds, depending upon where they are located in the body. For instance, the cells of the eye take only 48 hours to regenerate themselves, whereas the cells of the liver take about 6 weeks to completely replicate themselves. In one year from today, your entire body will contain 100% brand new cells where you will physically not be the same person that you are today!

“A sad soul can kill you quicker than a germ.” ~ John Steinbeck

Now you may be wondering how can a person create or maintain any illness past one year if every cell in the body will be completely regenerated and brand new? Doctor Deepak Chopra asked the same question and through extensive research found an amazing discovery. The reason unhealthy cells continue to replicate themselves is because negative emotions from life experiences become chemically trapped in the cell causing it to “remember” itself to be unhealthy. The negative feelings in these cellular memories cause a healthy cell to replicate as “unhealthy” which leads to the perpetuation of an illness or disease.

“When negative emotion is dissipated our physical vehicles will vibrate in much greater harmony with nature and much disease will no longer consume man.” ~ J.J. Dewey

Other scientists such as Candace Pert, Joseph Ledoux, and Elliot Drucker have also found that the chemicals caused from your emotions are stored within the walls of the cells. They’ve found that when you express positive healthy emotions (such as love, peace and gentleness) the cell walls respond to these positive emotions and their communication receptors remain open, receptive and healthy.

On the other hand, when a traumatic event occurs, chemicals called peptides flood into your blood stream and attach themselves to your cell receptors, hindering chemical communication from taking place. As long as the traumatic memory from these chemically blocked cells is not healed, they end up protecting themselves and cutting off healthy necessary communication with other cells in the body. Blocked communication of cells in the body eventually over time leads to the development of physical illness showing up in the body.

“The physical world, including our bodies, is a response of the observer. We create our bodies as we create the experience of our world.” ~ Deepak Chopra

Dr. Deepak Chopra decided to do a life study of successful survivors of illness and found that they all have two things in common. The first is that they were all able to spontaneously access a Divine Intelligent Loving Source inside of them (God, higher love, Infinite Source etc) and secondly they could forgive and heal themselves from past traumatic memories.

Brandon Bays, a woman who knew about the power of healing from within, cured herself from a tumor the size of a basketball in less than 6 weeks by releasing and reprogramming her traumatic memories. She went into her inner world and found her connection to Divine Intelligence, and reprogrammed her cellular memories and liberated her self from stored up negative emotions.

To come to a true place of healing, you must forgive yourself for what happened and let it go. This inner journey process will re-open the receptors creating healthy cell communication. The clearing and reprogramming of these unhealthy cellular memories creates the profound effect of true physical healing all throughout the body. For the essential steps towards healing, check out the Enlightened Beings Healing Center to start the healing process right now.

“Every human being is the author of his own health or disease.” ~Sivananda

By adventuring into your inner world and exploring the heavy, hard or painful experience inside you, you tap into your natural ability to heal it. The secret is to dive into and through that dramatic story and trauma from your past which is emotionally holding this pain in place. Once you liberate this memory and see what is at the very core of it, it will shift and your body will begin to heal. This powerful healing feeling is available right now for you to tap into and permanently replace long held patterns of shame, resentment and grief with new feelings of forgiveness, compassion and peace of mind!

The secret is to go within and find peace with what is here now. You can find peace with anything. It doesn’t matter how horrible you believe it is, someone on the planet has overcome what you’re going through and perhaps a situation that was even worse! The best news is that you can heal yourself in the comfort of your own home. Get ready for a deep physical, emotional or mental healing experience by downloading the Guided Meditation to Healing your Body, Mind and Soul (on MP3) now.

3 Reasons Why You Keep Attracting The Wrong Relationships

“We attract what we are, not what we want”- Unknown

The world is nothing but a mirror and until we learn this, we will keep repeating the same old scenarios in our lives and expect different results. This is according to Albert Einstein, the definition of insanity.

However, we are not unintellectual nor do we repeat these patterns because we adore the torture. No, we find ourselves in these situations because the root cause is hidden from our awareness and until we can illuminate this unseen aspect of our consciousness, it will continue to wreak havoc in our lives.

In order to get to the root of the problem, we need to recognize three critical things, all which serve as an ego mask in order to keep us from discovering the truth.

3.You’re shifting blame.

We can’t accept what we don’t recognize and so increasing awareness of our thoughts, actions and emotions will help us navigate through our relationships. With a little introspection we can turn these thoughts inwards and prepend our healing.

2.You feel powerless

It’s easy to fall into victim mentality, an addict for instance, may become an addict because using a substance may feel like the only way he or she feels they can assume power and control over their life, where they otherwise feel powerless. We can then assume that this would stem from lack of trust, which would likely stem from an unstable childhood or adolescence; an event (series of events) which caused a mistrust, which began as an unhealed hurt or loss.

Assuming control in your life then begins with recognizing the root cause of the emotional wound and how it has grown. This simple act of recognition brings the conscious memory forward allowing for healing to take place and the rerouting of neurons in the brain which act and react to certain stimuli and send information to other nerve cells.

As it is understood, it is these unhealed emotional wounds that have formed cycles of activity or patterns of behaviour and when you start to recognize your cycle, you can clearly see the repeating pattern of conflict in your life that has plagued your heart and mind.

1.You need healing.

Love your enemies.

It has always been said that it is through our toughest challenges we learn the most. Why do you think that is?

There isn’t a relationship that we will come out of, that hasn’t taught us a thing or two and I believe the best relationships are the ones that hurt us the most.

Sounds a little backwards right? Let’s think about it.

Nothing can exist outside of you that didn’t already exist within you.

Every partner that you’ve ever been with in your life will resonate both the healed and unhealed aspects of yourself and so, we unconsciously draw those into our lives who will show us exactly what is un-illuminated within ourselves, manifesting as our chosen partner. We then play out the relationship “roles”until we learn the lesson or illuminate what was hidden from us.

As we all know, beauty lies in the eye of the beholder and so every person is a projection of our own consciousness, and the question arises, why do we project such hate on some and such love on others? As it seems, some are here to help us grow in love and the special ones, help us grow from darkness to light. The only obstacle? Having the wisdom to see it.

If you are constantly finding yourself stuck in the same old relationship patterns and repeating the same cycles, you are unconsciously drawing yourself to the attention of what needs to be healed, as it manifests externally into different scenarios and people in your life. This, I believe is why it is believed that in every moment, no matter how tough, you are exactly where you are supposed to be.

By recognizing your cycle and finding your hidden root, this single action has an enormous impact on your life. A change that will broadcast and radiate a new energy, that resonates from inside of you of the greatest magnitude that will completely shift your life in a whole new direction

11 Things You Should Never Say to Someone With Anxiety

11 Things You Should Never Say to Someone With Anxiety

We all have someone in our lives who suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. A family member, a friend, our partner… When you are not dealing with anxiety, it is not easy to see things from the other person’s perspective. We are not born with the tools to deal with this, we learn to recognize the symptoms and deal with them as we experience them. But are we really helping our loved one who is suffering from anxiety? Sometimes when we think we are helping we might be making the complete opposite and unintentionally cause the situation get worse. None of us would want that of course. So how do we approach to someone with anxiety? Knowing what not to say, is a good start. Here are 11 things you should never say to someone with anxiety:

1. It’s all in your head. Actually it is not. Scientific researches show that disorders like general anxiety, depression, panic attacks are caused by hormonal imbalances in our brains. It is a chemical imbalance and has nothing to do with someone’s personality or ability or the lack of ability to cope with situations.

2. Calm down, you always stress too much! Anxiety is not caused by stressful situations. It can be triggered by them but one can be perfectly fine one moment and the next minute they can go into a full blown anxiety attack. To an outsider, this is a mystery as they try to figure out what could have possibly happened to cause such an attack.

3. It’s not a big deal, stop overreacting. By telling this to someone with anxiety, you are not helping them, instead you are making them feel worse, because they think they are doing something wrong. This only increases their anxiety as they hopelessly try and find a way to cope with it.

4. Just try to sleep and everything will be fine. During an anxiety attack, a person’s heart rate goes high. Most of the time, laying down makes the situation worse as they feel their heart beat in their throat quite frankly. The tightness and heaviness they feel in their chest might get worse when they lay down. Some people actually feel better when they move around to the pace of their hearts until they physically get tired and the attack slowly fades away.

5. There is nothing to be afraid of you can do it! An encouragement that will fall on deaf ears. There is no way you can convince someone with anxiety that they could do it only if they were not chickening out of something. This could be a social situation, which is known as social anxiety, a phobia they need to overcome, a simple task for you but it requires a lot of effort for them.. Do not force them to be in your own shoes or expect them to think like you. When you approach a person this way, you only validate their fear and anxiety by making them feel lesser and guilty for not having enough courage. The fact is, it is beyond their control.

6. Did I do something wrong? No, you did not, and it is not about you anyway. Please do not give them one more thing to worry about and make them feel bad for making you feel bad. Yes, you have all the good intentions when you ask this question but it doesn’t go the way you think it will. So beware.

7. I have been through this too, I know exactly how you feel. Unless you really know how it feels, do not try to empathize with them this way. They are having an anxiety attack but they are not stupid, you can not fool someone by showing empathy when you can’t really relate.

8. You have no reason to be anxious, there are people who have worse lives than you. Ouch! That burns. Of course there are people and situations that are in much worse conditions but each individual is unique and they want to feel that way too. The last thing someone with anxiety needs is someone else making them feel like they are not important enough or their problems or conditions are not important enough. A person who suffers from anxiety is not acting in a way that makes them seek more attention because they are self centered. On the contrary, they do not want to be the center of attention at all because it makes them feel much worse. By comparing people and situations you minimize their physical problem.

9. I’m stressed out too! Great, now it makes two of you. What you are trying to say when you say that is “hey look at me, I am as stressed as you are but I am not acting like a fool”. The message that goes across only tells them they are weaker for the way they feel and act. It is not a good place to be. Please do not try to compare yourself and the way you handle the situations to their medical condition.

10. Try to think of something nice and don’t focus on anxiety right now. This is sort of like giving a toy to a crying toddler to distract them so they stop crying. In real life, when someone is having an anxiety attack they can not control it and they can’t simply snap out of it and focus on something entirely different. With your suggestion, they will panic even more because they won’t know what else to focus on.

11. Everything will be fine, don’t worry. Well, of course, once the attack is under control that is. But it doesn’t give the much anticipated reassurance one needs during the attack. Instead of saying this just let them go through what they are going through.

The best way you can help them is by just trying to listen to them and let them describe their situation. And sometimes, silence is golden and a long warm hug says so much more than words. Because it makes them feel loved, accepted and not alone.

What Happens When You Press On This Point Of Your Foot for 2 Minutes

Harsh and expensive pharmaceuticals often have even worse side effects than the actual issue itself and, therefore, many people are turning to alternative remedies in an effort to naturally balance and help heal their body, mind, and spirits.

Acupressure is a form of alternative medicine and a key component of the ancient Chinese medicine. It involves the simple act of applying pressure to various points on our bodies, and it does wonders to alleviate the aches, pains, tension, and built up stresses on our bodies. Acupressure works by stimulating the thousands of nerves in our hands and feet, thereby increasing blood flow.

The average human foot has over 15,000 nerves and they all inter-connect to form a network that reaches different areas of the body, such as our main organs and glands. One such point is called the Tai Chong or LV3 point, known for being an effective full-body health booster.

To locate it on your foot, go to the gap between your big toe and second toe and move two-finger widths back from there. If you feel a hard bone, keep looking because it’s a soft area. Press down and apply pressure to this point for at least 2 minutes several times a day. It helps to relieve:

1. Stress and Anxiety –

According to WebMD, studies have been done which suggest that the LV3 point helps lessen the negative impacts of depression and anxiety, possibly by lowering subjects overall stress levels and instances of insomnia.

2. Digestion –

Nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, hangovers, and indigestion can all be eliminated or improved by massaging the LV3 point, so try it the next time you ever happen to drink too much!

3. Pain Killer –

The LV3 point has been used to alleviate abdominal pain, back pain, menstrual cramps, headaches, and since the point is connected to the liver meridian and lower back it’s also effective at relieving many other sources of bodily pain.

4. Fight Parkinson’s Disease –

According to Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation, “Acupuncture point LV3 has been historically used to treat tremors such as those associated with Parkinson’s disease.” This shows how the point has been used for thousands of years to improve people’s health, and even today it could greatly impact modern diseases. Many people have found that by using simple acupressure techniques at home, they could dramatically relieve pain and discomfort caused by common ailments.

Try it tonight and share this with others to help them find comfort and better health in their own lives! …

How to Overcome Victim Mentality

How to Overcome Victim Mentality

Each person in your life is a teacher. Each experience in your life is a lesson. Living is like looking into a mirror– every teacher is you. Every event and ever relationship reflects yourself.

Although we do not consciously perceive this, at some level we all know that life shows us what we need to learn. Learn the lesson and move on. If you didn’t learn the lesson the first time, it comes back around as a new experience a new person and a new circumstance. It comes right back and lands in your lap again, and says, “here… deal with it”- excerpt from Ether Into the Nemesis

When we blame others for our problems we shift the attention away from ourselves and avoid our own healing. The more we avoid ourselves, the larger our problems become and the more we fall into “victim mentality”which can be a very troubling situation.

We all have two choices, you can either “define yourself as a victim of the world, or you can come to understand that you are the world.” – Alan Watts

When we understand that everything we see around us, including our relationships, our homes, standard of living, the clothes we wear– everything, is an absolute reflection of our inner world, we are able to clearly determine the level of healing that is required. If your life is a mess, you are in an unhappy marriage, or career we should take note that something is off-balance inside.

When we are out of balance, we feel like we have no control over our circumstances and we end up repeating the same patterns without consciously understanding why.

This is why so many people don’t know how to help themselves. They can’t determine what the root cause of or where the beginning of the cycle started.

For instance, a child who was abused at a young age may have well forgotten the ordeal and yet, will find themselves in a relationship when they are older which represents the wound of the childhood trauma. He will seek out the same type of relationship over and over and never understand why he continues to make the same “wrong choices”.

The reason why we repeat these cycles is because we unconsciously draw ourselves to the attention of what needs to be healed as it manifests externally into different scenarios and people in our lives. This is why it is believed that in every moment no matter how tough, you are exactly where you are supposed to be.

When we can make the unconscious-conscious and illuminate the hidden aspects of our minds, we are able to bring unresolved memories forward for healing and release, thereby changing our outer world to match our inner and life becomes lighter. In doing so we free ourselves from the loop or cycle that has been plaguing our hearts and minds for far too long and the stagnant energy that these memories have held begin to recycle themselves into positive new energy.

So look around you and find all of things in your life that you are completely fed up with. Find the things that insult your soul, and know that this is where your healing needs start.

9 Reasons Why You Should Have a Salt Lamp in Every Room of Your House

Millions of years ago the Indian landmass collided with Asia and formed the Himalayan Mountains, which have been growing ever since. The immense range is where 9 of the world’s highest peaks are found, one of which boasts the highest elevation on Earth, Mount Everest.

download (2)Over a thousand miles away from Everest, in northern Pakistan, lies the foothills of the Salt Range. A shallow sea located there evaporated long ago, leaving behind tons of crystallized sea salt that’s buried deep below the mineral rich mountains.

This is where most of the Himalayan pink sea salt is found and mined. The salt mines have been open and active for hundreds of years, but the immense health benefits of Himalayan salt have only recently been widely recognized.

The natural underground formation of the beds led to over 84 trace minerals being added to the salt including calcium, copper, sulfates, zinc, magnesium, iron and more, making it the most mineral dense type of salt in the world. There are a number of excellent health benefits that Himalayan salt offers and you need not eat it to get all of them. Lamps made from the salt can do wonders for your health and home thanks to their natural air cleaning ability.

The salt lamps generate and give off negative ions which are oxygen ions that have an extra electron attached to them. They are found in nature near rivers, waterfalls, and other bodies of fresh flowing water. It’s believed that when we breathe them in they react with our bodies and produce positive effects. When people report feeling happier, clearer, and more refreshed around these water sources, it’s generally attributed to the negative ions they are taking in. Think about and imagine the fresh air that comes after a thunderstorm, that air feels so good because it contains vast amounts of negative ions. Another effect that negative ions have on our surroundings is that they can bond together with positive ions and thus neutralize them.

shapedcollage-bPositive ions do not have a positive effect on our bodies. They are what TVs, microwaves, and other electronic devices create and put off and can be harmful to us. Some people are affected more than others and may experience headaches, stress, allergies, and sleep issues from them. Placing a salt lamp in your home greatly reduces the presence of positive ions in the air, while simultaneously increasing the amount of negative ions. Thus, they cut down on the harmful silent effects electronics have on us, which are often overlooked.

The lamps are an easy way to make your environment and the air you breathe cleaner. The following health benefits are what people report experiencing soon after using salt lamps, they include help with:

  1. skin conditions
  2. headaches,
  3. migraines stress and stress-related disorders
  4. insomnia
  5. allergies and sinus issues
  6. arthritis and rheumatism
  7. respiratory problems and asthma colds
  8. increased circulation
  9. The lamps leave your mind, body, and health all better off and all you have to do is switch a light on.

To truly harness the healing power of salt lamps they should be placed all throughout the home and especially near electronic devices. While one single lamp will have a positive effect, it won’t be strong enough to impact your health, so make sure to use several. Also, eating pink Himalayan sea salt is even more beneficial to your body than regular table salt, but that’s a whole other story. Watch the video below for more information and try out a few Himalayan salt lamps if you haven’t already done so yet! …

Nutella is Poisonous For You and Your Children; Here’s Why (Must Read)

Every day, millions of people buy this product and feed it to their families believing that they are feeding them a nutritious product; when in reality it’s the opposite. The scariest thing that people don’t know about Nutella is that it contains monosodium glutamate (MSG), also known as E621. It’s cleverly hidden inside an artificial flavor called vanillin which is labeled on every Nutella jar. It also contains the toxic GMO emulsifier soy lecithin and palm oil whose extraction is ravaging forests and wildlife throughout the world.

Nutella was introduced in 1964 by the Italian company Ferrero who still manufactures the product, however they do have local manufacturers in many countries. As kids we went crazy over nutella in the 70s and 80s, but parents back then weren’t taking as many precautions as they are today, especially when it comes to reading ingredient labels.

According to the official US Nutella Website, the ingredients are as follows: “sugar, palm oil, hazelnuts, cocoa, skim milk, reduced minerals whey (milk), soy lecithin as emulsifier, vanillin: an artificial flavor”. Nutella claims their product contains “No Artificial Colors and No Artificial Preservatives”. The definition of artificial is “made or produced by human beings rather than occurring naturally.” Every single one of their ingredients goes through very heavy processing which would imply that the natural state of these ingredients which contribute to color and preservation is completely absent from their formula.

Their soy lecithin alone is about as artificial as an emulsifier/preservative gets. Nutella contains 67% saturated fat and processed sugar by weight. A two-tablespoon (37 gram) serving of Nutella contains 200 calories, 11 grams of fat, 3.5 of which are saturated and 21 grams of sugar. To put that into perspective, a typical chocolate and nut candy bar has 250 to 300 calories and 12 to 16 grams of fat. Vanillin: An Artificial Flavor (MSG) When most people see vanillin, they think…oh it has vanilla. However, this is likely one of the most harmful ingredients in Nutella. Scent and flavor of vanillin are nothing but chemicals. When we talk about actual real-life non-imitation vanilla flavor, what we’re really talking about is a bunch of molecules that are extracted from a vanilla bean. The grandest chemical of all of these is vanillin. Sure, vanilla has plenty of other odor molecules, but vanillin is about 95% of the scent. And, thanks to technology, you can make it cheaply from petroleum and in a lab.

The largest vanillin manufacturers in the world are in China and more than 90% of food products manufactured contain vanillin from China including Nutella. The worst part of vanillin is that it contains unlabeled MSG. It is not a nutrient, vitamin, or mineral and has no health benefits. The part of MSG that negatively affects the human body is the “glutamate”, not the sodium. The breakdown of MSG typically consists of 78% glutamate, 12% sodium, and about 10% water. Any glutamate added to a processed food is not and can not be considered naturally occurring. Natural glutamate in plants and animals is known as L-glutamic acid. MSG Lurks As A Slow Poison In Common Food Items Without Your Knowledge and vanillin is one of them.

MSG has been proven to act as an excitotoxin which stimulates the reward system of the brain, so we think it tastes better (than it actually does) and consequently consume more. There are a growing number of Clinicians and Scientists who are convinced that excitotoxins play a critical role in the development of several neurological disorders, including migraines, seizures, infections, abnormal neural development, certain endocrine disorders, specific types of obesity, and especially the neurodegenerative diseases; a group of diseases which includes: ALS, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and olivopontocerebellar degeneration.

Palm Oil is taken from the fruit of the oil palm tree. The use of palm oil in processed foods, its most widespread application in the United States, jumped sharply after government authorities took aggressive steps to reduce the trans fat content in processed foods.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest reports that palm oil is second only to soybean oil in terms of worldwide popularity as a food oil. In support of its warnings about the dangers of palm oil, the center cites two meta-analyses that show that palm oil raises blood cholesterol levels. A 1997 British analysis evaluated 147 human trials and concluded that palmitic acid, an active ingredient in palm oil, raised total blood cholesterol levels.

A Dutch analysis, released in 2003, weighed data from 35 clinical studies and found that palmitic acid significantly increased the ratio of total cholesterol to so-called “good cholesterol,” a widely recognized risk factor for heart disease. In a study published in a 1999 issue of “Plant Foods for Human Nutrition,” three Nigerian biochemistry researchers extol some of the nutrients found in fresh palm oil, but point out that the oil in an oxidized state can threaten physiological and biochemical functions of the body. They acknowledge that manufacturers of processed foods oxidize palm oil in their products for a variety of culinary purposes, meaning that much of the palm oil consumers eat is in an oxidized state.

The dangers of oxidized palm oil include organotoxicity of the heart, kidney, liver and lungs, as well as reproductive toxicity, the researchers claim. Additionally, they note, oxidized palm oil can cause an increase in free fatty acids, phospholipids and cerebrosides. Indonesia has achieved its goal of becoming one of the two largest palm-oil producers and exporters in the world. But at what cost? At least half of the world’s wild orangutans have disappeared in the last 20 years; biologically viable populations of orangutans have been radically reduced in size and number; and 80 percent of the orangutan habitat has either been depopulated or totally destroyed. The trend shows no sign of abating: government maps of future planned land use show more of the same, on an increasing scale.

In Malaysia, peat swamp forests are being obliterated, and the disappearing forests endangering the habitat of the “pygmy elephant — the smallest elephant on Earth — the clouded leopard, the long-nosed tapir and many rare birds.” As word spreads about the devastation that palm oil cultivation can cause, people are beginning to take notice and companies are beginning to make changes. Sustainable palm oil is in its infancy, and according to Worldwatch Institute, palm oil sustainability criteria remain controversial. Check out saynotopalmoil.com to get a full perspective on what’s happening throughout the world because of palm oil. Palm Oil is simply another ingredient that needs to be banned from our food supply. We don’t need it if it’s not sustainable in the health of our ecosystems or wildlife.

Soy Lecithin Soybean lecithin comes from sludge left after crude soy oil goes through a “degumming” process. It is a waste product containing solvents and pesticides and has a consistency ranging from a gummy fluid to a plastic solid. Before being bleached to a more appealing light yellow, the color of lecithin ranges from a dirty tan to reddish brown. The hexane extraction process commonly used in soybean oil manufacture today yields less lecithin than the older ethanol-benzol process, but produces a more marketable lecithin with better color, reduced odor and less bitter flavor. Today soy lecithin is ubiquitous in the processed food supply. It is most commonly used as an emulsifier to keep water and fats from separating in foods such as margarine, peanut butter, chocolate candies, ice cream, coffee creamers and infant formulas. It also helps prevent product spoilage making it a preservative and extending shelf life in the marketplace.

The majority of soy sources in the world are now genetically modified (GM). Researchers have clearly identified GM foods as a threat to the environment, pollution of soils and a long-term threat to human health with links to of the world with unnatural genetic material that may have unknown long-term consequences with links to decreased fertility, immunological alterations in the gut and the exacerbation and creation of allergies. Genetically engineered soy contains high concentrations of plant toxicants. The presence of high levels of toxicants in the GM soy represent thousands of plant biochemicals many of which have been shown to have toxic effects.

Reduced Minerals Whey Whey protein production starts with dairy cows and was actually considered a waste byproduct of cheese production. It was typically discarded. Dairy companies now recognize the value of whey and have set up factories to concentrate and purify it from sources that are substandard from cows fed GMO foods, antibiotics and hormones to boost their production.

Reduced-minerals ends up being a dark cream-colored product which companies acquire raw from the same handful of manufacturers. Whey powder is an additive commonly used in spreads to prevent the coagulation of the product because it stabilizes the fat emulsions. It is manufactured by drying whey that has been heat treated to remove a portion of the minerals. It is used as animal feed and also by the pharmaceutical industry. Levels of demineralization of this type of whey can exceed 90% making this ingredient completely useless in terms of nutrition. So dump this toxic brew of a spread and opt for healthier alternatives.

Group Drumming Relieves Symptoms of Anxiety and Depression Better Than Meds, New Study Suggests

Group Drumming Relieves Symptoms of Anxiety and Depression Better Than Meds, New Study Suggests

Group drumming is one of the oldest forms of healing that dates back to the Stone Age. Known more widely as a Shamanic drumming circle, its focus is to gather the community together including people of all ages, with its main objective: to establish a connection with creation by means of a collective consciousness that emerges through the rhythm of the drum. Through each unique beat, the participants first get in tune with themselves and then with each other to form a rhythm that creates a collective voice.

image002While we are seeing a reemergence of drumming circles for healing, spiritual growth and shamanic journeying, not long ago was shamanism virtually wiped out upon the rise and spread of Christianity.

Today, growing numbers of mental health organizations are developing community music-making interventions for those seeking natural healing, and while up until this point there had been no real evidence of the effectiveness, in a study released March 14, 2016, researchers in the UK recruited 30 participants who were diagnosed by mental health services and (who had not yet received any kind of anti-depressant medication), in a 10 week program to study its adverse effects.

The participants were separated into two groups, one being a control group which were informed that they would be participating in a music and mental health study, but were
not given access to the drums and instead were enrolled in social activities (quiz nights, book clubs and women’s institute meetings). While the treatment group received weekly 90 minute sessions of hands-on authentic drumming with a traditional African djembe drum.

The results of the study were sensational and reported as below:

Significant improvements were found in the drumming group but not the control group: by week 6 there were decreases in depression (-2.14 SE 0.50 CI -3.16 to -1.11) and increases in social resilience (7.69 SE 2.00 CI 3.60 to 11.78), and by week 10 these had further improved (depression: -3.41 SE 0.62 CI -4.68 to -2.15; social resilience: 10.59 SE 1.78 CI 6.94 to 14.24) alongside significant improvements in anxiety (-2.21 SE 0.50 CI -3.24 to -1.19) and mental wellbeing (6.14 SE 0.92 CI 4.25 to 8.04). All significant changes were maintained at 3 months follow-up. Furthermore, it is now recognised that many mental health conditions are characterised by underlying inflammatory immune responses. Consequently, participants in the drumming group also provided saliva samples to test for cortisol and the cytokines interleukin (IL) 4, IL6, IL17, tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNFα), and monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP) 1. Across the 10 weeks there was a shift away from a pro-inflammatory towards an anti-inflammatory immune profile. Consequently, this study demonstrates the psychological benefits of group drumming and also suggests underlying biological effects, supporting its therapeutic potential for mental health.”

To summarize, by week 6 participants in the treatment group experienced a significant decrease in depression and increased social resilience with further improvement in mental health and well-being by week 10. Improvements continued and were maintained upon a 3 month follow-up. The drumming group also reported a major shift from pro-inflammatory to an anti-inflammatory immune profile.
