10 Clear Signs You Are Being Contacted By a Spirit

10 Signs You Are Being Contacted by a Spirit

Death is not the end. We are all made of energy and when our bodies die, we transform into a different form that is not visible to the naked human eye (at least in many cases). Sometimes, when a spirit leaves its physical body, it takes longer for it to cross to the other side for many reasons. And sometimes, they try to get in contact with us to let us know that they are still with us. There are certain things we can look for in situations like this to see if a spirit is trying to communicate with us.

  1. Flickering lights

Sometimes when we sit in our room, we notice a few quick flickers of light. Maybe you have already been thinking of your loved one and they wanted to give you a sign that they feel it and they are near you. Or maybe they wanted you to think of them. Usually when this happens, we find ourselves in a sort of intuitive state, as if we simply sensed why the light was flickering. It is because the energy sent us by our loved one affects our thoughts too.

  1. You see a shadow out of the corner or your eyes

We all feel it sometimes. A dark shadow right out of the corner of our eyes and we turn around but see nothing or no one. But there was something there. It’s a strange feeling but it is one of the signs that shows us we are being contacted by a spirit.

  1. You feel an air flow around you

You are indoors but you suddenly feel a flow of air around you. Like a very quick chilling breeze that goes away as fast as it comes. Many people report they feel a change in temperature as well inside their homes when they are contacted by a spirit. Because spirits are a different form of energy, they are capable of causing air flows or changes in temperature when they are around us.

  1. You hear your name being called

Have you ever felt like someone called your name but there was no one around you? Or no one that could possibly know you or call your name? But you can swear you heard it. Sometimes they do more than that, they might say something that is very meaningful for the both of you, or something you would understand that it is coming from your loved one. A much more obvious sign that shows you, you are being contacted by a spirit.

  1. Dreams

One of the most common ways spirits contact us is through our dreams. In the dream state, our subconscious mind becomes more dominant because it is  one of the best times for it to communicate a message to our conscious mind. Since the subconscious mind is alert, it is capable of accepting any form of communication that comes through. This is almost like a portal for the spirits and they can let us know how they are or they can bring a message to us or maybe even warn us for something. Trust your intuition and do not dismiss your dreams. Always find ways to analyze them.

  1. They move small objects

Some spirits are capable of moving small objects. Like a pen right next to you on the desk moves a tiny bit, or a piece of paper suddenly falls on the floor, maybe a glass object cracks suddenly without being touched. Things like this are very common.

  1. We sense a certain smell

A certain smell that makes us think of them, maybe like a perfume or cologne they used to wear. Or the smell of a flower that you or they love very much. A certain smell that will surely give you a sign that it is coming from them to let you know that they are trying to contact you.

  1. Visions

Sometimes we see a quick reflection in the mirror or on the glass when we look through the window as if someone was right behind us. Sometimes we see them right in front of us as a semi transparent being. This is a more developed form of connection but certain spirits are capable of communicating with us like this.

  1. We feel their presence

Sometimes it is just your gut feeling telling you that you are not alone in the room, there is someone else there with you. You might not see any other signs like visions, sounds, smells or movements but you are sure that you are being watched or someone is trying to tell you something. It might be a chilling feeling if you are not used to it but it is also a very common form of communication by spirits because they can reach us through our brain frequency and let us know that they are there.

  1. Numbers or symbols on things

If you ever tried improving your intuition, this is one of the exercises that helps you get to the next level. Paying attention to the signs, symbols and numbers around you. Because they are specifically put there for you to interpret them. Spirits use these signs and symbols as well to communicate with us. When you think of them you might see a sign or a number that is very special for you two, or sometimes the symbol comes before the thought, which is sent by the spirit for us to notice and think of them and know that they are near.

12 Quotes To Remember When You’re Over Thinking

12 Quotes To Remember When You're Over thinking

We all seem to have this natural tendency to want to dissect everything in our lives and put it in neat little labelled boxes. When we come to a challenge that we cannot overcome immediately however, our minds begin to spin and spin working out a multitude of possibilities and probabilities until we find something we can make logical sense from. Then finally once we have formulated any means by which to solve our equation sufficiently, we let our minds rest.

This form of mental processing is hard on the mind and as we have witnessed, the repercussions of an overworked, over stressed society are devastating.

Over thinking in my opinion stems from lack of trust. It is the overuse and abuse of the mind, falsely representing itself as ‘control’.

We tend to think that they more we can manipulate a situation, the more power and control we exude over it. But the more we attempt to control our own circumstances, the more we rob ourselves of the beauty of what could have and should have naturally unfolded should we had only trusted and given ‘life a chance’.

It is the way of no way, so to speak and when we meditate we practice letting go by meaning of mindful breathing. We breath in and we accept. We breath out and we release.

Meditation is so beneficial because it teaches us to calm ourselves and release our resistance to everything that we can’t control. Because in truth, we cannot control anything.

It teaches us to trust.

So if you are an over thinker, right now I want you to shut it off, shut it down and take comfort in knowing that we can’t plan everything out to the last detail. Sometimes we just need to have a little faith; sometimes we need to get out of our own way and if we do, we might just find that the path we were looking for was already waiting for us.

12. “Eventually all of the pieces fall into place. Until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moment and know that everything happens for a reason.

11. “Don’t overthink things. Sometimes you can convince your head not to listen to your heart. Those are the decisions you regret for the rest of your life.” Faith Barnett

10. One of the happiest moments in life is when you find the courage to let go of what you can’t change.

9. I’ve got 99 problems, 86 of them are completely made up scenarios in my head that I’m stressing about for absolutely no logical reason.

8. Don’t think it complicates things. Just feel and if it feels like home then follow its path. -R.M Drake

7. Sometimes the best thing you can do is not think, not wonder, not imagine, not obsess. Just breathe and have faith that everything will work out for the best.

6. Your mind is your instrument, learn to be its master and not its slave.

5. The key to happiness is letting each situation be what it is instead of what you think it should be.

4. Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive about what could go right.

3. Stop worrying about how its going to happen and start trusting that it will.

2. Don’t believe everything you think

1.We often want it so badly that we ruin it before it begins. Over thinking, fantasizing, imagining, expecting, worrying, doubting. Just let it naturally evolve.

10 Things You Should Remind Yourself of Everyday

10 Things You Should Remind Yourself Of Everyday

We all want to live a happy, healthy life. But in the never-ending chaos, it’s easy to get carried away and dive deep into stress, anxiety, depression or hopelessness.

We get angry and frustrated. But we also tend to put our hopes for happiness and relief on other people and other things. Before we know, we live our lives in the hopes of “if I had this”, ‘if I met this person”, “if only I could”. Just like drifting in a stormy ocean, we search for the land but we get further away from it.

We can find our balance by reminding ourselves these ten simple things, everyday, when we start our day, or each time we feel down. Here is how:

  1. Today will be as good as I make it.

There are obstacles everywhere, for everyone. Life is never perfect and it is not meant to be perfect. The key is to remember that. Start your day by reminding yourself that as long as you can accept to face the facts, you are strong enough to deal with them. Do not let the obstacles bring you down, instead, see them as life lessons and find out why they are there. Nothing in life is a coincidence. Everything happens for a reason because in the Universe, we are all energies that constantly cross paths with all kinds of vibrations. They are meant to be. You receive what you put out. So remind yourself, when you see a problem just like when you encounter something good, what do these signs tell you? What is the message? Find out and keep moving forward. Do not get stuck in the past and instead live in the present. And tell yourself you can turn bad into good from within when you mean it.

  1. I create my own reality.

We perceive things a certain way depending on how we look at them. If you approach people and situations with preconceived ideas or judgments, remember that these are thoughts coming from within you. No two people look at the same situation in the same way. Each individual see things the way they want to see them because it is connected to how they see themselves. So keep this in mind and work towards balancing your good and bad qualities and you will see how you create this reality and that you have the capacity and capability to direct and redirect it.

  1. I am not competing with anyone

Ambition can be a good thing if used correctly. But if you let it overpower you it can be very destructive to the point where you find yourself to be selfish and egotistical, but also unhappy and depressed in case of failure. The only thing you should be concerned with is to be a better you than you were yesterday and forget about everyone else you see as competitors and rivals. The key to self-confidence and success is to better yourself without depending on anyone or without comparing your reality to someone else’s.

  1. I don’t need anyone’s approval

We have ideas, things we want to do, places we want to go physically or spiritually, goals we want to achieve. Oftentimes we find ourselves thinking about what other people would think about us if we did. We hold ourselves back worried about other people’s judgments about us. Is it acceptable? Is it wrong? Is it selfish? But look around yourself. Do you see how many lives are on standby or miserable because people think the same exact way that you do? You are a free individual who can think for yourself and you have desires and wishes and feelings about how you can grow. Do not depend on anyone’s approval and do not let anyone’s judgment bring you down. Because just like you create your own reality, they create their own. If they choose to judge you or be mad at you it shows something about themselves, not about you.

  1. When I change my thoughts about life, I change my life

Going back to creating your own reality, as we said before, when the negativity overpowers you, you become fearful of it as it weakens you. And it destroys you and claims your happiness and personal growth. You can teach yourself manipulating the negative energy by balancing it with positive energy. Try daily meditation. It is a scientific fact that meditation reprograms our brains. In terms of neuroscience, think about all of your thoughts and feelings as branches of a tree. Only this tree is inside your brain. Just like a gardener would cut the dead branches from a tree to give way to the growth of the fresh new ones, meditation will teach you how to do that. And this is how you will learn to manipulate your bad thoughts and negativity by turning them into something better.

  1. Live each day as if it is your last

This is an advice we hear everyday but take it for granted. It is important to remember that tomorrow is not guaranteed for any one of us. If you have to forgive someone, do it, if you are angry with someone, find a way to overcome it, if you have regrets, try to find a way to make peace with yourself. Take these obstacles out of your way to give you the freedom and relief to live today in the best possible way. And don’t forget to tell the one’s you care about you love them.

7, Bad things don’t make your life bad

If you find yourself complaining too much about every single bad thing that happens to you, you will not be able to notice the good things around you. Bad things happen to everyone just like good things happen to everyone. Do not let them define your life and who you are. Accept them and take your lesson and don’t get discouraged. You are not alone. Life has its ups and downs. Happy moments and sad moments. If you only focus on the negativity, you will attract more of it.

  1. Put one foot in front of the other

You can not do everything at once but also you should not try to do something when you are not mentally ready to face it. Especially if you have problems with your self-esteem, before you take a challenge work on getting your self-esteem higher and stronger so if you fail, you can find the strength to deal with it and move on. There is a right time for everything. If you feel that the time is not right, listen to your gut feeling. And when you do, you will know how to read the signs when your subconscious tells you the time is right.

  1. You’ll never know unless you try

If you want something, ask for it. There is nothing wrong with asking. The worst that can happen is they say no. Do not be afraid of rejections. Rejections should be taken as signs that show us either we need to move on to something else or we need to better ourselves in that area. So don’t take no as a ‘bad answer’. Instead, use it to your advantage. But most importantly, do not let it affect your self-confidence. Analyze your feelings about it and find out why it made you feel bad. Then you can work on fixing it.

  1. You can do this!

Happiness, self-esteem, freedom… all these things you need are within you. You are the source of your own happiness, self-esteem and freedom. Nobody can give it to you and nothing can bring it to you either. If you put your hopes on others, what will you do when you achieve that? Since you started from a materialistic point of view, eventually that person or that something will not be enough for you and you will be back to square one. So learn to depend on yourself and realize that it all starts with you and within you.

15 Inspirational Lessons From Thich Nhat Hanh On Life, Love and Happiness

15 Inspirational Lessons From Thich Nhat Hanh

Master Thich Nhat Hanh encompasses every attribute of not ‘finding peace’, but becoming the embodiment of peace itself. When I think of him, I feel that he is the epitome of acceptance and compassion— the conquest of stillness in chaos. A true master of Zen, here are a few of the most inspirational lessons we can learn from him.

1.“When another person makes you suffer, it is because he suffers deeply within himself, and his suffering is spilling over. He does not need punishment; he needs help. That’s the message he is sending.”

2. “People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar.”

3. “To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.”

4. “Because you are alive, everything is possible.”

5. “Many people think excitement is happiness…. But when you are excited you are not peaceful. True happiness is based on peace.”

6. “My actions are my only true belongings. I cannot escape the consequences of my actions. My actions are the ground on which I stand.”

7. “You must love in such a way that the person you love feels free.”

8. “For things to reveal themselves to us, we need to be ready to abandon our views about them.”

9. “We are here to awaken from our illusion of separateness.”

10. “If you love someone, the greatest gift you can give them is your presence”

11. “Keeping your body healthy is an expression of gratitude to the whole cosmos — the trees, the clouds, everything.”

12. “Understanding means throwing away your knowledge.”

13.“When you begin to see that your enemy is suffering, that is the beginning of insight.”

14. “Some people live as though they are already dead. There are people moving around us who are consumed by their past, terrified of their future, and stuck in their anger and jealousy. They are not alive; they are just walking corpses.”

15. “At any moment, you have a choice, that either leads you closer to your spirit or further away from it.”

5 Signs Your Life is About to Go Through a Radical Change

5 Signs Your Life is About to Go Through a Radical Change

Sometimes when we think our lives are falling apart what we don’t see, is that they might just be falling into place. While change is not always welcomed, it is always warranted and often when we think that our lives have fallen into utter disarray, it’s because everything is realigning to match our true intentions and desires.

1.Everything you dislike has become unbearable

There is nothing quite like the feeling of irritability. It’s as if it comes out of nowhere like a mosquito in the night, causing you to itch until your skin is scarred.

When the little things in life that never really bothered you much before, start surmounting right before your eyes… know that change is coming. It has to. There is only so much negativity we can take, until finally the last straw breaks and we snap… into action.

2. You feel lost

We’ve all heard that getting lost is the best way to find yourself. Truly though, it sounds a little backwards, that is until… we can understand why.

When you’re lost, you don’t have a direction and when you have no direction, you have no desire. When you have no desire, you have no want or need of anything and when you have no want or need of anything, this is when your soul will speak.

While you may feel out of control, you are the most clear at this time and in the perfect disposition to accept a higher knowing of what your heart truly, selflessly and completely wants you to see and understand. This, then sets you on a new path, a radical change that may have been desperately needed and one that puts you into alignment with your mind, body, heart and soul.

3.You’re Coming Out of the Incubator

Have you ever noticed that certain periods of your life are completely packed full of outings and adventures, fun-filled with friends and family to the point where you feel you can barely keep up? While other periods are marked with isolation, introspection and near (if not full-blown) depression?

The length of these cycles can vary, but each and every one of us go through these momentum shifts in the course of our lives. These periods can be marked with catastrophic endings or heart breaking losses, all the while we already had an inner knowing, that the end of the chapter was coming and that it was time to turn the page and look forward to the next, long ago…

These shifts are alike to a heart beat that pulses, and as we navigate our lives to the beat of this drum we find ourselves cocooned and introspective at moments, and more open with the world on the “out pulse”. These cycles are needed as we endeavour and formulate our perspective of the world. The introspective periods offer emotional, psychological and spiritual growth while the outward pulses offer experience, travel and new perspectives to take hold of.

When you are coming out of the incubator period, it serves as a “mini re-birth”. That is to say, the time it has taken you to recharge, review and reevaluate in order to set out on a new goal, a new direction and a new life.

4. You feel scared, excited and anxious all at the same time.

Your incubator stage and healing is ending its cycle and you’ve gained a new direction, so what’s next? When it’s scary and exciting.. you just have to do it.

At this point you can just feel that something big is about to happen and the momentum is building. You have no idea what to expect, but you just know that you are on the right path and can’t wait to find what’s at the end of the tunnel.

There is no point in making any stringent plans at this point, as they are likely to be rescheduled or cancelled and you will cause yourself unneeded hassle.

Your intention has been set, but the energies are still aligning as the multitude of probable outcomes need time to unfold. Each of these are to be explored before you (the shadow) walk the choice that has been made by your higher self. Have patience during this period, stay open and ride the wave until your path is set. This is an exciting time!

5. Synchronicities

There is nothing more satisfying than a subtle nudge from the universe that you are on the right path. Synchronicities serve as these soft assurances, that your thoughts and actions are in alignment with your higher good.

Most commonly found when major changes are taking place are the series of 5’s that you will find showing up no matter where you seem to look. 5’s are the clearest sign that you need to prepare yourself, because you are about to undergo a radical shift that will shake you to your core. Change should never be viewed as positive or negative, it’s simply needed.

5 Blessings in Disguise You Need to Recognize

As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But, I think we can all agree that this is easier said than done. Sometimes it’s hard to see the blessing in the worst catastrophes and to remain confident that everything will work out, especially when you’ve just been blind sided.

While changes of this magnitude can serve as a major wake up call or a catalyst to initiate our spiritual growth and evolution of consciousness, when we hit these road blocks, it’s more than difficult to just pick up and say “hey, better things are waiting for me around the corner!”. It takes time to process, introspect and finally see, that the hand we’ve been dealt, was exactly the change we might have needed.

5. You lose your job

We all know that getting fired never feels good, but let’s be honest about it, if you were truly and honestly pursuing what you really wanted to do chances are you wouldn’t be kicking your lunch box down the street right now. Sometimes, when we can’t make the decision for ourselves to move on, life gives us a hard shove to get going in the right direction. Take time to reflect on what you appreciated about your previous position as well as the negative and you will find if you are honest with yourself, that it wasn’t the right fit for you.

Now is great time to do some real introspection, especially if you have been in the same role for a long amount of time. You may find a completely new direction and one that serves your true authentic self and let’s you shine.

4. You separate from your partner

First off I’d like to say, as hard as it may be for some of you to hear– not everyone is meant to be with us for the long haul. Everyone has a special purpose in our lives, and with each person we are able to share moments which leave lasting impressions that we can take with us along our journeys. At every moment we are learning and growing and we never stop; change is continual and as we change, it only makes sense that the people, experiences and circumstances change along with.

If you are newly single or mentally processing the fall out from a long-term relationship, the aftermath can be devastating. If the relationship has been closed off by one of the partners, the best thing you can do is keep your distance. Early after a breakup the emotions are still running high with both individuals and you’ll both need your space.

When we give ourselves this space, we allow for healing to usher in and a time of reflection begins. Quite often, if one partner has decided to leave, the other may also feel in some sense relieved, as relationships can only flourish when both partners are in harmony. Soon, you may begin to recognize that it was only the familiarity and the attachment to the person which enabled you to continue in the relationship, all the while your spirit was urging you onto new and needed experiences.

3.You lose your house

Losing your home is devastating. Without a home base to rest our heads at the end of the day can make us feel lost and unstable. A shift from the normal safe routine, we quite literally feel like we have been thrown out to the wolves, to fend for ourselves. Upon reflection however, you may find that your home wasn’t benefiting you in some way. Either the mortgage was too high, or the area where you lived wasn’t serving you or your families needs. Whatever the cause, when we can find trust in knowing that everything happens for a reason, we find comfort in the understanding that life can be like a tornado, and sometimes that tornado is what it took to shake us out of our stagnant state. It’s best to just let it pick you up, ruffle you up and put you back down where you are supposed to be.

2. You are diagnosed with an illness

The most serious of events to transpire, being diagnosed with any kind of illness quite literally catapults you into a state of shock. While this occurence may not rightfully fit in with a few others on this list, it is included because of its profound impact on emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being. There is nothing more frightening than being told your health is at risk, while at the same time there is also nothing more that would motivate us more to live our life to the fullest. Being told that your time is limited or that you’re physical health will not permit you to do the things you once thought, immediately puts you on this path. The path to experience everything you can in the time you have. The path that opens your heart to forgive and love others in ways you never thought were possible and to appreciate the little things in life, that most others often tend to ignore.

1. You lose someone close to you

When you lose someone you love, there are no words to express how you feel. There are no words that can comfort a grieving heart and nothing will ever replace that person. You are only left with a gigantic void that pierces so deeply that it permeates to the fibre of your being. Now, we can never say that losing someone is a blessing, however we can say that not having this person truly and deeply highlights our immense unconditional, insatiable capacity for love, that we should always appreciate. I believe that love is at the fabric of our being, it is the fifth element, it is the vibration of creation and without love– life would cease to exist.

We can love far after a person is gone and long before they even arrive. Our genuine ability to love with all of our being is so deep that it transcends space and time and in the end if anything is to go on past our physical bodies when we die, it’s love.
