It’s well past midnight and you’re wide awake. Your mind races with financial worries and family related issues. You try to close your eyes, but they relentlessly open up again. The blanket also benefits those suffering from menopause, autism, Tourette’s, cerebral palsy or alzheimer’s disease.

The reason these blankets work is that it calms the nervous system. The blanket moulds to the person’s body, while plastic poly pellets are weighted evenly all throughout the blanket. It stimulates that the person is being hugged. This helps to calm and comfort the patient, relieving them of their worries. The office can worry about itself, in essence, because nobody should carry anxiety around that is not their own.

New Research Confirms Smart Phones are Messing With Our Sleep

Over the past few years, smartphones have become an integral part of life for people in most developed and developing countries. People are spending more and more time using their smart phones as its technological versatility is increasing every day. You can now read books, take photos, watch TV shows and videos, play games, maintain contact with people, and more – all through a simple 5-inch device that sits comfortably in your pocket. And amid all this people are forgetting the potentially negative impact it might be having on their lives.

Recently, researchers at the University of California have found that exposure to a smart phone screen is negatively related to the quality of sleep one experiences. In this peer-reviewed study that appeared in the Public Library of Science (PLoS) One journal on November 9, 2016, people were asked to download an Android app that record and transmit screen-on time in the background. All the voluntary participants of this study were chosen from University of California’s concurrent Health eHeart study and thus had sensors on them that gathered sleep data. This data was then used in correlation with the screen-on time metrics to determine the pattern over a 30-day period.

It was found that on average, people had their phone’s screen on for about 1 hour and 29 minutes each day. Younger people, females and Hispanic and Black ethnicities significantly digressed from this number and had more screen on-time. The peak usage of smart phones was in the evenings, between 6 and 9 p.m.

With this data in hand, it was determined that the more people use their smartphone screens, the lesser they slept, it was more difficult for them to sleep, and the quality of their sleep was severely degraded. These effects were particularly pronounced in people who used their smartphones close to bedtime.

Now the question arises that how do smartphone screens alter the way we sleep? Well, the answer to this lies in a small molecule that the body secretes to induce sleep – melatonin.

Melatonin is a hormone secreted by the pineal gland in our brain and is tasked with maintaining our sleep-wake cycle. It is sort of like our body’s very own clock. During the day, the pineal gland is hard at work, synthesizing melatonin. And as night falls, it begins secreting it into our bloodstream which induces that drowsy feeling that helps us go to sleep. The secretion continues during our sleep and stops when it is time for us to wake up. Therefore adequate melatonin production and secretion is necessary for a good night’s sleep.

An important factor with melatonin’s efficacy is the color of light the body is exposed to throughout the day. Naturally, the body’s melatonin mechanism is evolved with respect to light and dark. Your body uses blue wavelength light from the sun to trigger melatonin production and then takes its lower levels at night to cue melatonin’s release in the blood stream. One can easily infer from this that any sort of artificial light can throw this system out of whack. That is true but all artificial lights don’t disturb the melatonin system on the same scale. The blue light that is emitted by LED lights, smartphone and laptop screens is far more disruptive in this regard because it tricks the body into thinking that it is not currently night as yet. Thus the release of melatonin is delayed or interrupted and our body’s natural clock is unsettled.

How detrimental is this? Studies have shown that melatonin deficiency and the ensuing decline in sleep quality can lead to such problems as obesity, depression, diabetes, heart diseases, and even cancer. And this should come as no surprise because sleep, along with a good diet and exercise, are considered as pillars for maintaining one’s health. Sleep is the time when your body winds down and does repair work on all the wear and tear that takes place during the day. It is sort of a planned maintenance and any interference to it is severally harmful in the long run. You wouldn’t want to drive an ill-maintained car then why should you condone such a thing with your body?

Conclusively, while it is close to impossible to completely give up smartphone use in today’s day and age, one can still work to curtail its harmful effects on sleep. Smartphone usage should be reduced after nightfall, blue light filters should be employed on the screen, and bedtime usage should be effectively avoided. And for added protection one can also wear filtering goggles that work to eliminate ambient blue light. With these steps you can aid your body in getting the proper rest it deserves and ensure your optimal health in the process.

Our body is always changing and evolving. At every stage of life, people fight against age as they try to sustain a youthful composure. A healthy diet and exercise play a big part in this, but how we take care of our brains is also vitally crucial. Keeping our brain young is going to keep our memories in tack for longer. It’s going to help us thrive later on in age and it’s going to help us extend our lives overall.

First, you have to develop a love for reading. Reading has evolved over the past decade. No longer is it necessary to hold a physical book in your hands. You can now read books on e-readers, phones and tablets. This makes carrying a book so much easier! Another reason to read is the cost. Kindle books cost a third the price of a printed book. Many libraries, too, have programs that lend you books directly on your e-reader. If you still like the feel of a physical book, no worries. I don’t think libraries are going anywhere soon. Read anything and everything. If the back cover strikes your fancy, look for the book on your e-reader or purchase it. The more knowledge you gain, the stronger your brain is going to be as you grow older.

Another way to energize your brain is to exercise. What type of exercise do you most enjoy? Everyone is different and we each have our limitations. For those that want to build muscle, strength-training might be best. This involves aerobics and lifting weights. Those that want more low-key exercise may try walking a track, rowing on a rowing machine or exercising on an elliptical. Furthermore, those that enjoy the outdoors may consider taking up a sport. Golf, swimming, canoeing  and kickboxing are excellent choices. Don’t push your body past its limits, however; learn to listen to your body and give yourself breaks when necessary.

On the same note, meditation and yoga are terrific ways to increase brain power. Both of these methods are also ways to release stress. To meditate, all you generally need is a quiet room. Focus on how you inhale and exhale each breath, trying to breath through your diaphragm. It’s important you have good posture. Sit up straight and make sure your spine is not slouching. Yoga, on the other hand, is a more relaxed way to exercise. This type of exercise focuses on your balance and stability. It involves exercises that bend every part of your body. Try the easy poses first, such as the downward dog, and work up to the more challenging poses. You’ll find that you are less stressed out and that your overall health improves.

Learning a musical instrument may also boost brain power. My niece plays around 12 musical instruments. It’s been scientifically proven that learning even one instrument can improve a person’s cognitive memory. Musicians memorize notes and music. They are more inclined to remember names, dates and facts. Scientists also believe that learning music makes people more likely to be better at solving mathematical equations. The fact is that music can influence other areas of our life. If we’re creative with our music, it’s going to overflow into our other hobbies and when we are happy—our brain releases the happy hormone, serotonin, that boosts brain power even more.

Moreover, learning a new language can help keep your brain youthful. Did you learn Spanish, French or German as a kid? If so, you may pick it up really fast as an adult. Were you bilingual as a kid? Chances are that you remember that language even if you haven’t used it in years. Language is a powerful concept. It’s one of the aspects of how we identify with our world. Learning another language is going to help you advance in your problem solving techniques and help to sharpen your memory. Just don’t forget to use it. If you learn the language—to the point that you’re fluent and then forget all of it—that language is going to slip away.

Furthermore, engage in cumulative learning. This is where you keep learning a concept of which you are passionate. My father, ever since he was in grade school, has loved math. To this day he still works equations. He is nearing 70 years old but his brain is young because he has worked math equations like this for the majority of his life. When you keep learning, your brain gets bigger. It starts to work smarter and faster. Learning helps to sharpen memories and helps you to recall memories from long ago. Never let go of learning because it could save you when you need it the most!

Finally, exercise your mind with brain games. Doctors and scientists say that crosswords are the best to prevent Alzheimer’s Disease. Personally I love to work crosswords and Sudoku. Both these games challenge my mind to fill in the blank with the right answer. On my phone I have brain game apps that test my memory with word choice, memory recall and many other techniques. Over time all these methods are going to increase your brain power. Try to do an activity each day. You’ll find that your cognitive skills increase and that you forget less overall. Your brain can work faster and smarter if you give it the tools to succeed.

The kind of words we choose to use can literary change our brain. A single word has enormous power to influence the expression of genes that regulate emotional and physical stress.

Researchers have discovered that when we use positive words like peace, love, and loving-kindness, we modify our brain functions by generally increasing cognitive reasoning and strengthening areas around our frontal lobes. Therefore, utilizing positive words more frequently than negative words can actually activate the motivation centers of the brain, prompting them into action.

Positive words are known to engage the brain center responsible for understanding the big picture, respect, active listening, empathy, and problem-solving, while negative words activate the fear center.  We prevent the production of certain stress management neurochemicals in our brain when we use negative words. This increases the activity in out fear center and causes fear producing hormones to flood our entire system.

These neurotransmitters and hormones interrupt the logic and reasoning processes in the brain and obstruct normal functionality.

A Positive Psychology research also elaborated on the benefits of using positive words. A group of adults within the age of 35- 54 were asked to write three very important things that went well for them that day, including a brief explanation of why. This was done for a period of three months and was referred to as “the gratitude and appreciation journaling.” Over the three months duration that the study lasted, they reported an increase in their level of happiness.

Also, the depression levels continued to decrease for a long time after the experiment was concluded. This study confirmed the long-held believe that by reflecting and focusing on positive language, feelings, thoughts and emotions, we can drastically improve our overall wellbeing.

What words do you focus most of your energy on? If realize your life is not exactly happy as you want it, you should try documenting your life for a month in order to observe how often you use positive words. If you noticed you have been using positive words less often, is will be beneficial for you to try the “gratitude and appreciation journaling” exercised discussed above. It will do you a lot of good than you think.

By constantly holding optimistic and positive words in your mind, you continuously stimulate the frontal lobe activity. This includes specific language centers that directly connect to the motor cortex responsible for getting you into action. And research has shown that the more you concentrate on positive the more you begin to affect other important areas of the brain.

In general, functions in the parietal lobes begin to change, which also changes your perception of yourself and the people you interact with. Positively viewing yourself will move you toward seeing the good in others as well. Over time, the structure of your thalamus will be altered in response to your conscious words, feeling and thoughts and it is believed that the thalamus changes affect the way reality is perceived.

In conclusion, if you want to be happy, use happy words.

When we do this, slowly, we rebuild our focus and learn to listen to the sound of the wind, the leaves, birds chirping, sound of a river nearby perhaps… these are all things we need to experience in order to get back to the creative mindset. Creativity suffers when we have problems with keeping focus on something. Creativity needs tenderness and care and nurturing of the mind with healthy and positive thought patterns. Because without healthy mind, we can not find motivation and without motivation, we can’t have inspiration, and without inspiration, we can never be creative.
  1. Hiking improves self esteem: Knowing you did something good for yourself and feeling proud of it, looking in the mirror and starting to like what you see. The feeling of accomplishment, satisfaction and self love… all things we need to feel about ourselves in order to build our self esteem. Going between home and work back and forth every day, having very little time for ourselves, losing so much time sitting in the traffic, eating poorly… these things build up in time and before we know, we find out we dislike ourselves. Maybe our poor diet caused us to gain weight and we don’t like our body, maybe the constant competition and stress at work made us mentally weak we don’t give ourselves enough credit for our accomplishments, in fact we don’t even notice our accomplishments or worse yet, we can’t accomplish anything because we are mentally drained. Exercising in nature and spending time in nature will help us regain our self esteem. If we can do this regularly, we will begin to lose weight and we will feel motivated to eat and live better. Once we start seeing a difference,, we will then realize, we have the power to change things and make our lives a positive one.

Hiking can help us get rid of brooding: Thinking obsessively about the bad and stressful situations, or over analyzing everything until we convince ourselves that something must definitely be wrong… If we stop and think about how our thinking patterns can hurt us in the long run we would be amazed to see how much damage we caused to ourselves and to our mental health. Unfortunately, bad and negative and obsessive thinking become a pattern after some time because our brains adopt things as patterns and then sends mixed signals to our sub conscious mind. We can fix this and reverse the negative side effects of brooding by replacing it with a new pattern, and in order to develop a new pattern we need to start either meditating, or exercising or better yet, both. But hiking actually does give us both. Hiking can be an effective way to meditate as we explained before by teaching us how to focus. Hiking also helps by releasing dopamine and making us in return feel happy and satisfied. A healthy mind looks at things from a different angle. A healthy mind thinks calmly, does not panic and does not self destroy with negative thinking.

Time and Space are an Illusion: Understanding Deja Vu

Could you agree that in every moment, you are your past, your present and your future self? Let’s explore.

Scientifically speaking, we understand that space and time are relative meaning that they depend solely on the motion of the observer who measures them. From this simple fact and for those of us who believe that our souls are eternal, it can then be understood that our future selves are watching us right now through our memories. Wow! Let’s think about that for a moment.

This means that you are already dead, you have just been born and every moment in between is happening in other dimensions of ‘reality.’

How is this possible?

If this sounds like a far cry from the truth for you, we need to first understand that everything is energy and energy can neither be created or destroyed, only transformed from one form to another.

“When we die, we do so not in the random billiard ball matrix but in the inescapable life matrix. Life has a non-linear dimensionality — it’s like a perennial flower that returns to bloom in the multiverse.” -Robert Lanza

As Robert states, life itself is non-linear, meaning that it is free from death and it is free from time.

And what is time?

Time is a tool that we created as a means to measure the space between our thoughts and desires and their manifestation. To put it plainly, ‘time’ is the space between your thoughts and the fruition of the manifestation into the present moment of reality.

So in one sense, when we talk about ‘dimensions’ what we are referring to is the observable space that separates our chosen individual experiences both pre and post incarnation.

Now what we are currently witnessing as we ascend into this new paradigm, is the acceleration of our own manifestations to a ‘higher dimensional level’. Quite frankly, the space between our thoughts and desires is shrinking as we become our past, present and future selves embodying a more universal, eternal consciousness.

Deja Vu

Many people have been puzzled by the phenomenon of Deja Vu, and this is probably why I’ve chosen to cover the topic. The ironic thing is that sometimes the clarity you seek, has been right in front of you the entire time.

At the beginning of this article, Thich Nhat Hanh, was quoted about living in the present moment. Now there are many people whom can attest to the benefits of present living, and many can agree that it brings emotional stability, healing, an increase in health and well-being as well is beneficial for energy flow. Now what we don’t pick up on as quickly, is the multitude of benefits it creates for our own spirituality. And to understand this, we need to understand that spirituality itself is defined as “connecting to something that is bigger than ourselves”.

When we choose to live a ‘spiritual way of life’ what we are attempting is a quest to bring meaning into our lives and when we connect, we experience that which is ‘bigger than ourselves’– finding the most treasured insights and gaining profound wisdom.

We do not exist in merely on one timeline or dimension of reality, our souls exist in billions of probable outcomes of reality and our minds explore each potential path prior to us walking the path. On the same level, because space and time are relative, when we find ourselves in a place in time where we experience deja vu, what is happening is we are remembering the memory. 

In some cases of deja vu, your future self remembers this exact moment in time as something that was either fond to recall or regretful and hopes that our present self, will remember and change the outcome.

How can we sharpen our senses?

This ideology places profound importance on present living, because it is only in the present moment that you become aware of all moments, past and future and possess the ability to integrate them into your conscious state of awareness.

In conclusion:

It can be said that present living is the key way to spirituality, finding meaning in life and connecting to that which is bigger than ourselves.

Death is an illusion, life is a dream, and we are the creator of our own imagination.

In our busy, hectic lives; days and years go by without us paying attention to how polluted our brains are because of everything constantly happening around us. There is also the pollution of sound that overstimulates our brains causing stress, moodiness, depression, anxiety among other things.

We are programmed to hear certain sounds in our everyday lives without even noticing them. The sound of the TV, radio, or the crowd outside, our cell phones, strangers talking, traffic, noises from the street, noises from the neighbour’s house… noises everywhere, all the time. We don’t even realize what this overstimulation of our hearing does to our brain cells.

Scientific studies show it causes more damage than we realize. Could this damage be reversible? Yes, scientific studies also show that silence has repairing powers and this is how it does that:

  1. Silence helps us calm down and feel more peaceful

If we could give ourselves, one or two hours of silence every day, we would be doing something very healthy to our mind and to our body. During silence, our brains start adjusting to the calmer state of being and we feel relaxed and peaceful. We regulate our breathing by slowing down our brains and not focusing on the stressful events. We might even feel sleepy. Imagine not having to watch TV or listen to radio, or not having to keep your cell phone on. Away from technology for a little while. In touch with your inner self. Silence gives that to you.

  1. Silence repairs our brain cells

It is a proven fact that silence has the power to rejuvenate and repair our brain cells. If you expose yourself to two hours of silence daily, your brain will start the repair process. You will find that your memory will start improving, you will be rested and your stress tolerance will increase as well. A stronger brain means a stronger body. Everything starts in those little grey cells. They respond to what we expose them to. So if we nourish our brains with good food (figuratively speaking), it will become healthy and the aging process will also slow down.

  1. Silence gives us more satisfaction in the long run

Hopefully you are not addicted to TV, radio, and smart phones, game consoles etc… well, chances are, we are addicted to one of these things if not more. It is the contemporary lifestyle. There is no easy escape. Have you ever stopped and thought about what would your life be like if you did not own a TV? Think about all the meaningless shows and biased news we watch on TV. In the end what do we do? We work, we come home, we fall asleep in front of TV, we go to bed, we get up the next day and do it all over again. By taking these things out of your life, you will actually find better ways to spend time either with family and friends or with yourself, and most probably you will be doing things that are better in quality. That is why, the satisfaction comes when you kick the bad habits and replace them with better ones. You will like yourself so much more, it is guaranteed.

  1. Silence improves our 5 senses

When we sit in silence, we actually become more aware of our surroundings but in a different dimension altogether. We hear sounds we haven’t noticed before, like the sound of the wind, or maybe the leaves gently touching one another, tree branches moving, maybe a distant sound of an animal… if we are in the city, we start paying attention to every single sound but in a constructive way. Not only our hearing improves but all our other senses also move into a different dimension where we get the most of them. We might see things we haven’t noticed  were there before, or something that touches our skin feels different, or when we touch something we might notice more details about it. Silence cleans our senses and unblocks them.

  1. Silence improves our attention

When we sit quietly, we give our brains exactly what it needs: focus. It comes naturally. By focus we don’t mean thinking of something specific or the kind of focus we try to achieve during meditation. It’s a different kind of focus where your mind is actually allowed to wander from thought to thought. But you will notice, by practice, whether you do it intentionally or unintentionally, your pace will slow down and you will reflect inwards in a much healthier way. This will help you improve your attention and concentration skills. Once you improve these skills, your learning ability will start increasing and so will your memory.

  1. Silence makes us more honest

You can not run and hide from your innermost thoughts when you sit in silence. At one point you will find that you are indeed being more open to your own self about your feelings, your thoughts, your desires, your regrets, your sadness… When you spend this time alone, you are looking in and beginning to see yourself not as a reflection in the mirror, but with different pair of eyes. Doctors Can Now Use Light and Nanotechnology to Combat Cancer

Doctors have found an exciting new non-evasive light therapy that can help the body’s own cells fight cancer! Supporting our own bodies in fighting disease, aka immunotherapy, is one of the most popular and growing areas of cancer research. Let’s face it, people are tired of chemotherapy and would prefer to avoid dangerous surgeries if they can help it. Now, with new therapies such and this new light technology we can boost the body without harming it.

Assistant professor Yubin Zhou, Ph.D. from the Center for Translational Cancer Research located at the Texas A&M Health Science Center Institute of Biosciences & Technology is actively studying how light can be used to control our body’s immune system and use it to fight cancer.

“Although neuroscientists have been using light to stimulate neurons for years, this is the first time the technique, called optogenetics, has been used in the immune system,” Zhou said.

Typically in neuroscience, the scientists will engineer cells that will produce microbes that are light-sensitive. When exposed to different frequencies of light these microbes will produce proteins that can tell our nerves to send or stop sending nerve impulses.

“Neuroscientists have learned a lot about brain circuits using the technique,” Zhou said, “and now researchers in many other fields are giving it a try.”

Optogenetics and the Immune System

Zhou and his team have found a way to modify the technique in order to help the immune system. The work wasn’t easy: unlike nerve cells, your immune system’s cells don’t use known electrical impulses to communicate. Another challenge is that our immune system cells are deep inside the body and are constantly moving around making it hard to hit with the right amount of light.

They had to use some out of the box thinking and team work to figure out.

“We collaborated with Dr. Gang Han at the University of Massachusetts Medical School who does bionanotechnology and photomedicine development,” Zhou said. “Together, we were able to combine state-of-the-art optogenetic approaches with cutting edge nanotechnology.”

The new nanotechnology known as optogenetic immunomodulation was recently published in an article ineLife.

“This work was driven by talented scientists in the lab: graduate students Lian He and Peng Tan and postdoctoral research fellow Guolin Ma, Ph.D.,” Zhou said, “who fearlessly undertook this daunting project and overcame all the challenging obstacles to make this technique into reality.”


Doctors can use Light to Direct Immune System Cells

With this new technique, the researchers were able to control immune system cells and ‘instruct’ them to kill cancerous tumor cells. Using a near-infrared laser beam that is able to penetrate a few centimeters into your body the scientists can use nanoparticles to turn blue and direct the engineered immune cells to fight specific cancer cells. Just imagine a general and his troops about to go into battle and once they get the light signal from central command they team up and destroy the cancer cells.

“We are able to wirelessly control the action of immune cells buried deep in tissue,” Zhou said.

The researchers found a way to modify the immune cells so that their calcium gate-controlling protein was light sensitive. When they are exposed to blue light which is emitted by the nanoparticle they ‘open the ion gates’. Once the light is turned off the gates then close. Researchers can increase the flow of calcium into the cells by increase the flow of light.

They are still working on fine tuning the calcium-dependent actions of our immune cells so that they can better target tumor cells and invading pathogens that our body would otherwise not notice or be focused on fighting.

When animal tumor tests were conducted they were able to boost the immune system response which aided in the bodies ability to kill the cancer cells.

“The technique reduced tumor size and metastasis, so there are lots of applications,” Zhou said.

One of the biggest advantages of this method is that it only actives a specific type of immune system cell, the T-cell, and only in the area of the body where the light is being shined. When you get chemotherapy the immune system response is bodywide which can be a miserable process. With this non-invasive light tunable technique, they can focus the immune response only on and around the area of concern.

“Other scientists will likely use the technique to help them study immune, heart and other types of cells that use calcium to perform their tasks,” Zhou said. “It’s quite a cool technology. With these tools, we can now not only answer fundamental questions of science that we never could before but also translate it into the clinic for disease intervention.”

Zhou’s lab has been using this technique in order to see how effective specific cancers drugs will even have on people.

“If successful,” Zhou said, “all these efforts would remarkably improve the current cancer immunotherapies by personalizing the treatment to exactly where and when it is needed, while reducing side effects.”

“Most Cancer Research is Largely a Fraud” This Research Scientist Admits


“Everyone should know that most cancer research is largely a fraud, and that the major cancer research organisations are derelict in their duties to the people who support them.” (source)

The above quote comes from Linus Pauling, Ph.D, and two time Nobel Prize winner in chemistry (1901-1994). He is considered one of the most important scientists in history. He is one of the founders of quantum chemistry and molecular biology, who was also a well known peace activist. He was invited to be in charge of the Chemistry division of the Manhattan Project, but refused. He has also done a lot of work on military applications, and has pretty much done and seen it all when it comes to the world of science. A quick Google search will suffice if you’d like to learn more about him.

This man has been around the block, and obviously knows a thing or two about this subject. And he’s not the only expert from around the world expressing similar beliefs and voicing his opinion.

Here is another great example of a hard hitting quote when it comes to scientific fraud and manipulation. It comes from Dr. Marcia Angell, a physician and long time Editor in Chief of the New England Medical Journal (NEMJ), which is considered to be one of the most prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals in the world. I apologize if you have seen it before in my articles, but it is quite the statement.

“It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of the New England Journal of Medicine”  (source)

The list goes on and on. Dr. John Bailer, who spent 20 years on the staff of the National Cancer Institute and is also a former editor of its journal, publicly stated in a meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science that:

“My overall assessment is that the national cancer program must be judged a qualified failure. Our whole cancer research in the past 20 years has been a total failure.” (source)

He also alluded to the fact that cancer treatment, in general, has been a complete failure.

Another interesting point is the fact that most of the money donated to cancer research is spent on animal research, which has been considered completely useless by many. For example, in 1981 Dr. Irwin Bross, the former director of the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Research Institute (largest cancer research institute in the world), said that:

“The uselessness of most of the animal model studies is less well known. For example, the discovery of chemotherapeutic agents for the treatment of human cancer is widely-heralded as a triumph due to use of animal model systems. However, here again, these exaggerated claims are coming from or are endorsed by the same people who get the federal dollars for animal research. There is little, if any, factual evidence that would support these claims. Practically all of the chemotherapeutic agents which are of value in the treatment of human cancer were found in a clinical context rather than in animal studies.” (source)

Today, treating illness and disease has a corporate side. It is an enormously profitable industry, but only when geared towards treatment, not preventative measures or cures, and that’s an important point to consider.

Another quote that relates to my point above was made by Dr. Dean Burk, an American biochemist and a senior chemist for the National Cancer Institute. His paper, “The Determination of Enzyme Dissociation Constants (source),” published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society in 1934, is one of the most frequently cited papers in the history of biochemistry.

“When you have power you don’t have to tell the truth. That’s a rule that’s been working in this world for generations. And there are a great many people who don’t tell the truth when they are in power in administrative positions.” (source)

He also stated that:

“Fluoride causes more human cancer deaths than any other chemical. It is some of the most conclusive scientific and biological evidence that I have come across in my 50 years in the field of cancer research.” (source)

In the April 15th, 2015 edition of Lancet, the UK’s leading medical journal, editor in chief Richard Horton stated:

“The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue. Science has taken a turn toward darkness.” (source)

n 2005 Dr. John P.A. Ioannidis, currently a professor in disease prevention at Stanford University, published the most widely accessed article in the history of the Public Library of Science (PLoS) entitled Why Most Published Research Findings Are False. In the report, he stated:

“There is increasing concern that most current published research findings are false.”

In 2009, the University of Michigan’s comprehensive cancer center published an analysis that revealed popular cancer studies are false, and that there were fabricated results arising due to conflicts of interest. They suggested that the fabricated results were a result of what would work best for drug companies. After all, a large portion of cancer research is funded directly by them. There is so much information out there, and so much of it is coming from people who have been directly involved in these proceedings. There is really no shortage of credible sources willing to state that we live in a world of scientific fraud and manipulation.

All of this can be attributed to the “corporatocracy” we live in today, where giant corporations owned by a select group of “elite” people have basically taken control over the planet and all of its resources.
This is precisely why so many people are flocking towards alternative treatment, as well as focusing on cancer prevention. Much of what we surround ourselves with on a daily basis has been linked to cancer. Everything from pesticides, GMOs, multiple cosmetic products, certain “foods,” smoking, and much much more. This is something that is never really emphasized, we always seem to just assume that donating money to charities will make the problem go away, despite the fact that their business practices are highly questionable.

That being said, so many people have had success with alternative treatments like cannabis oil – combined with a raw diet or even incorporated into their chemotherapy regimen – that we should not feel as though there is no hope for the future.

The official stance on cannabis is a great example of the very practice of misinformation that I’m talking about. Its anti-tumoral properties have been demonstrated for decades, yet no clinical trials are taking place.

I am going to leave you with this video, as I have done in previous articles. It provides a little food for thought. Ignorance is not the answer, although this information can be scary to consider, it’s nothing to turn a blind eye towards.
